OMEGA moon landing eventOmega teamed up with Hyde Park, Denver last night to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the moon landing. Guests got the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to listen to personal accounts of space missions and see a special edition Omega Speedmaster collection. Apollo and Gemini astronauts Captain Gene Cernan (Gemini 9A, Apollo 10, and Apollo 17 where he was the last man on the moon) and General Tom Stafford (Gemini 6A, Gemini 9A, Apollo-Soyuz test project and Apollo 10), along with Jim Ragan, NASA engineer, told guests about their incredible journeys with moderator Ed Buckbee, who worked with Mercury, Gemini and Apollo missions and founded Space Camp. Guests also got to get up-close to Lunar and Mars rovers, a space suit and a moon rock. Saying the night was priceless is a complete understatement, but it is as close as we can come to putting the incredible experience into words.
