Day 5 Recap – INSIDE THE VAULT

The ladies of Team USA did very well in the snowboard halfpipe competition today. Kaitlyn Farrington received gold and California’s Kelly Clark got bronze. Another California girl, Hannah Teter placed 4th. Unfortunately, Colorado’s Arielle Gold took a hard fall and was unable to compete.

gold, silver and bronze winners — Torah Bright (AUS), Kaitlyn Farrington (USA), and Kelly Clark (USA) win silver, gold and bronze respectively in the Women’s Snowboard Halfpipe competition in Sochi.

California girl Julia Mancuso placed 8th Women’s Downhill Alpine Ski competition today. Not bad, considering she already won the bronze in the combined slalom already. Fellow California competitor, Stacey Cook, placed 17th.

Colorado resident Bryan Fletcher placed 26 in the Nordic Combined event, with his brother Taylor trailing behind in 33rd. Flag bearer Todd Lodwick racked 34th in his first event, but did not compete in the final race.
