OMEGA has been the official timekeeper of the Olympic games since the summer of 1932.

For the first time, timekeeping was done by an outside company, and it proved to be beneficial. OMEGA brought the ability to time competitors to the 1/10th of a second for the first time in Olympic history. OMEGA supplied the games with 30 stopwatches that were capable of measuring immediate times.
