Chopard and Lady Diana
Diana, Princess of Whales became a fashion icon from the second she burst on to the scene in the early 1990’s. She quickly became “the People’s Princess” and was adored by millions.
Since her tragic death in 1997, there have been several movies documenting the impact her short life had on Britain and the world. The latest movie, Diana, opening this fall will show audiences the clash of Diana’s public and private worlds during the last 2 years of her life.
When it came to costume and jewelry design for Diana, Chopard was chosen to make help transform Naomi Watts into Lady Diana. Chopard has frequently been jeweler of choice for the stars and participates in the Cannes Film Festival. For Diana, their job was to select pieces that Diana might have chosen herself. It could have been a daunting task choosing jewelry for a woman that was so elegant, charming and discretely modern, butĀ ChopardĀ had no troubles at all. When watching Diana in theaters this fall, keep an eye out for a great selection of Chopard watches, jewelry and bags.
