These watches stand out in a sea of watches as our top picks for your next adventure!
Rolex Deep Sea
Out of the entire Rolex Professional collection (Submariner, GMT, Explorer, Yachtmaster, Milgauss) The Rolex Deep Sea is the Beast of the bunch. Housed in a 44mm stainless steel case with a ceramic/chrome bezel it is the largest piece in the line. It features the ever famous Rolex Oyster Perpetual in house movement that has been COSC certified, and can handle pressures down to 3,900 meters with an automatic decompression valve.
Panerai Submersible PAM000024
Panerai is a company that has water in its DNA. Started as a wristwatch for the Italian Navy, Panerai has progressed and become one of the most sought after brands in the watch world after only going public in 1993. The Panerai Submersible is the staple in their line for a diver friendly watch. The Submersible is housed in a 44mm steel or titanium case, featuring their signature U-Locking Crown guard that allows a watch to be wound while submerged in water without comprising the deal and featuring an automatic, COSC certified OP III Calibre movement. This monster can handle depths of up to 300 meters.
Bell & Ross BR-02
A newer company specializing in military inspired watches, Bell & Ross hit a Diver’s dream when they combined their sleek minimalist styling with their rock steady durability in the BR-02. The 02 is 44mm, with an automatic movement, an inner-rotating bezel (only watch in this article that has the inner rotating bezel, all others feature an external ring) and water resistance up to 1000 meters. This watch is available in either Steel, Carbon coated Steel, or Carbon coated steel and 18k rose gold cases with several selections for dials.
Breitling Super Ocean 44
Breitling has been known for its expansive collection of “professional” watches. In 2011 they unveiled a new masterpiece in their water friendly Super Ocean line, the Super Ocean 44. The 44 has the Breitling 17 movement that is COSC certified, in a 44mm stainless steel case and has depth capabilities up to 2000m thanks to their automatic decompression valve. The watch has a unique rubber coated bezel over steel to offer a easy handling when around water. The watch is available in a black dial, with Arabic markers at 6 and 9, and with subtle color accents on the hour marker, date window, and logo (yellow, red, blue, white, or orange). This watch is also available in a chronograph version.
Breguet Marine Chronograph
Breguet is the second oldest watch company in the world, and has been around since 1775. The brand has done an exceptional job bringing the line up to the 21st Century with additions like the Marine Chronograph. The watch is cased in a 42mm white gold case (available in Rose gold also), and has an in house, Breguet Caliber 583q/1. The dial features a hand engraved dial that has made the company so famous in the past set with Blued Breguet Style steel hands. Arguably the most detailed and hand finished of the bunch, most might not want to take this masterpiece near water, but it can handle the rigors of the sea all the way to 300 meters.
