November’s Stone: Topaz

Topaz is the birthstone for November. This fascinating gemstone comes in an array of colors, the most popular and commonly found being a brownish orange. Naturally occurring blue topaz is the rarest of all of the colors. Topaz is also known as the “Stone of Strength” and even use to be prescribed in the Middle Ages to people who had bad vision or mental illness.
