Roberto Coin Cento Kings Cross Engagement RingWe are excited to introduce our new bridal jewelry blog segment – Stay tuned for more updates on the latest in bridal jewelry trends, along with other bridal and wedding-focused topics.
An engagement ring is something a woman will wear for the rest of her life. It’s not just a piece of jewelry that she will show off to her friends, it will be something that makes her smile because it makes her think about the special someone that gave it to her. It will also come with a story that gets repeated to those that want to hear about the magical moment of when it was given. It’s the first step to commitment between two people and an exciting start to their new life together.

The most traditional shape for a center diamond (and that will give off the most sparkle) is a brilliant round. The Roberto Coin Cento diamond is one of the best brilliant round cuts in the industry. What makes it stand out and truly special are the 100 facets designed to give you more brilliance. The diamonds are generally of a higher clarity and color. To find out more about the 4 C’s of the Roberto Coin Cento Collection visit their website at: www.centocollection.com.

Roberto CoinFrom an interview with Roberto Coin by Brides magazine:

What makes your Cento Diamond so special? Why is it a good pick for brides?

The Cento Diamond has a unique cut with one hundred facets, almost twice as many as a traditional diamond. This very special diamond is cut by the best masters and has a floral pattern. The word “Cento” in Italian literally means one hundred, but it also idiomatically translates to perfection. So this diamond represents the idea of having a relationship that is one hundred percent perfect. The diamond becomes an eternal gift to the brides.

The collection was a gift from Roberto Coin to his wife Pilar. A beautiful gesture of love that is shared between two people and that love is clear in the collection. Each ring is one of a kind and comes with a certificate on diamonds over a quarter carat.

The latest design of the collections is the “Kings Cross”. It is a gorgeous basket weave of gold encompassing the center diamond with double prongs. This style is not only secure but gives a unique spin on the traditional solitaire style ring.

Another new look that they have come out with are the Signature Collection bands. They have a bar set center diamond with pave diamonds going down the shank. They can be used as a wedding band, promise ring, or be stacked to have a fashion forward look.

Tulip Collection
The original styles of the collection are the Tulip setting and the “C” setting. The Tulip setting was done for Pilar’s love of flowers. The petals surround the center diamond giving it a soft and feminine look. The “C” setting is the shape of a “C” holding the diamond at each end. The collection is inspired by Coin.

The best part of the engagement ring that you purchase from the Cento collection is going to be the power of the ruby incorporated in it (as is true with all Roberto Coin jewelry pieces). It will give the recipient good health, prosperity and success. So not only will be a symbol of your love but good wishes for your future together as one.
